The rate of Syphilis and Gonorrhea is up, dramatically up according to the CDC, and mainly due to the rise among Gay & Bisexual males, engaging in male to male sex. While that in itself is scary, the even worse news is that many doctors are missing the call.
CDC researcher Kristen C. Mahle, M.P.H., and colleagues found that doctors miss more than one in three rectal gonorrhea infections, one in four throat infections, and one in 10 urethral infections in men who have sex with men. (source)

Kind of adds a bit of thought, for those who don’t believe in safe sex, but prefer to go without a condom. Also makes you wonder more, about if bareback sex is really an option anymore.
