I suppose it serves a purpose, though frankly, not sure what kind of purpose it does serve.
I refer to the constant dribble from the Media, about which Voter group the candidates are pandering to, or not, and how they are doing among the gazilion different special interest groups that demand their attention, their focus.
In between pandering, there is constant innuendo being levied against the Candidates, for what others say on their own behalf, that somehow is supposed to be of importance in determining who is best suited to fix the economy, the weak education system, and the non existent health care system.

It is an election year, and a big one too.
After all, the choices made this year, could have long range ramifications, and the two choices appear to be John McCain and Barack Obama. There is a third choice, to stay home, but we all know that has some pretty serious results.
Is McCain the choice?
Does he support EQUAL RIGHTS FOR ALL? Or is he no different than George Bush, in choosing to allow Equal Rights only for Selected People?

If politics is your thing, why not check out Gay Talk ?
Some interesting commentary on the hoopla that seems to be dominating this week’s news regarding Obama and the remarks of his Pastor, ex Pastor actually. It might be of some interest, if you are political junkie, or just curious of other’s views on the whole world of this 2008 Presidential Race.

Then there is all the stuff about recalls. Did you know that Cantaloupe was the latest recall, and that it came out last Saturday, you know slow news day, instead of making the traditional news cycle?

Over at Gay Talk , there are some pretty interesting remarks, regarding the recent departure of John Edwards from the Presidential Race for 2008.
It is the world we live in, so we should maybe take an interest in it.
After all, when we show our displeasure with the politicians by staying home, well we get leaders like George W. Bush & Stephen Harper.
Maybe we should try getting out, and VOTING THE ISSUES, instead of the Political Party, which seems to be the norm. Personally, I think we spend too much time on personalities, instead of finding out which candidate supports the issues we believe in.
Course that assumes there are any such Politicians out there.
